Hey, just to let you single women know that during the month of April there will be a special retreat going on where you can become more drowned into the light of Christianity. Ever wonder how a Christian nun behaves, or what she does in her daily life, check out with the Sister of Saint Joseph, Toronto. They are offering a special retreat for single women on April 27 & 29 and also on May 25 & 27. If you are interested please call 416.927.0720, or email dschweitzer@csj-to.ca, for further questions.
Do you also know that there are differences between a nun and a sister?
They both take vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience. But a nun, has a another vow which is, a vow of enclosure (which means they live in a monastery, and pray for the world. They are isolated from society). A sister can be a married person, and have kids. They spend more time caring for the society and preaching gospel to the community.
So, if you are already married and have kid or planning to have a family, please don't shy away from the "Christian Sisterhood". You can still contribute to the religious life and to the community at the same time. Please speak with your church or contact the number listed above.
