2) A big memorable day in Oakland, California as the day of the official opening of a cloistered Carmel of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. The archbishop of San Francisco, Salvatore J. 6) Kateri Tekakwitha (1656 – April 17, 1680), is now listed as the first Canadian Aborigine female Saint. She was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on Oct 21' 2012 in St. Peter's Square Vatican City.
